How to move your Musi playlists to eSound

In Musi, share the playlist and copy its link: it looks like https://feelthemusi.com/playlist/…. In eSound, open Library, tap +, choose Import playlist and then Import from Musi. Paste the link, tap Load playlist and then Import. Repeat for each playlist you want to bring over.

Before you start

  • The eSound app on Android or iPhone, signed in to your eSound account.
  • The Musi share link of the playlist, in the form https://feelthemusi.com/playlist/…. You get it from Musi’s share option for that playlist.
  • One link per playlist: each one is imported on its own.
  • Importing works in the app, not in the eSound web player.

Import a Musi playlist step by step

  1. Share the playlist from Musi

In Musi, open the playlist, share it and copy the link. What you need is the feelthemusi.com/playlist/… address.

  2. Open Import playlist

In eSound, go to Library, tap + and choose Import playlist. You can also start from the Import playlist entry in Search.

  3. Choose Musi

Tap Import from Musi to open its card.

  4. Paste and load

Paste the link with the clipboard icon in the field and tap Load playlist. eSound shows the playlist with its name and songs.

  5. Tap Import

Tap Import. When the counter is done the button says Imported and the playlist opens; it is now in your Library. Do the same for your next playlist.

What to expect

  • Playlists move one at a time; there is no way to bring all of them in a single step.
  • A song that is no longer available may not come through.
  • The copy in eSound does not follow later changes in Musi. Import the playlist again if you update it there.

If something goes wrong

  • Invalid Musi link: the text is not a Musi playlist link. It must contain feelthemusi.com/playlist/.
  • This playlist is private: eSound got nothing back from the link. Open the link in a browser to check that it shows the playlist, or share it again from Musi.
  • Error importing playlist: check your connection and tap Import again.
  • Not available on the web app: import from the Android or iPhone app instead of the browser.
