How to set a sleep timer in eSound

In the full-screen player, tap More options (⋯) and choose Sleep timer; you also find it in Settings › Player › Sleep timer. Turn the dial or tap a preset, from 1 minute to 4 hours, or choose End of playing song, then tap Confirm. When the time is up, eSound pauses the music.

Set the timer step by step

  1. Open the player

    Tap the song at the bottom of the screen to open the full-screen player.

  2. Open the menu

    Tap More options (⋯) and choose Sleep timer. A long press on the mini player opens the same menu.

  3. Choose how long

    Turn the dial (it starts at 30 minutes) or tap one of the presets: 1, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes, or 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours. To stop exactly when the current song ends, choose End of playing song.

  4. Confirm

    Tap Confirm. A short message confirms that the timer is running, for example “45m - Enabled”.

Check, change or stop the timer

Open Sleep timer again: while the timer runs it shows the time left and a Stop sleep timer button. To change the duration, stop it and set a new one.

On phone, computer and web

  • Android and iPhone: from the player menu or from Settings › Player › Sleep timer.
  • Desktop app and web player: use Settings › Player › Sleep timer. The menu of the player bar at the bottom does not include it.
  • If Sleep timer is missing from the player menu (for example when you are offline), the one in Settings is always there.

What happens when the time is up

  • The music pauses. The queue stays as it is, so tapping play carries on where you stopped.
  • The dial goes from 1 minute to 4 hours: in 1-minute steps up to an hour, then in 5-minute steps.
  • The sleep timer is free, with or without Premium.

Yes. It is available to everyone, on every device where eSound runs.

Can I stop the music at the end of a song instead of after a set time?

Yes. Choose End of playing song: the music pauses when the current song finishes.

What is the longest timer?

4 hours. The shortest is 1 minute.

Does the timer close the app?

No. It only pauses the music; your queue stays ready for next time.
