How to use the equalizer in eSound

Go to Settings › Player › Equalizer and switch it on. Pick a preset such as Bass Booster, Rock or Vocal Booster, or drag the 8 bands from 60 Hz to 16 kHz yourself, then Save Preset to keep your sound. The equalizer is a Premium feature in the Android and iPhone apps.

Before you start

  • The eSound app on Android or iPhone. The equalizer is not available in the desktop app or in the web player.
  • eSound Premium. Without it the equalizer screen stays locked, with a Get premium button.

Set up the equalizer step by step

  1. Open the equalizer

Tap Settings (the gear at the top of Home, Search or Library), then Player and Equalizer.

  2. Switch it on

Turn on the switch at the top of the screen.

  3. Pick a preset or make your own

Choose one of the 22 presets, from Acoustic to Vocal Booster, or drag the 8 bands (60 Hz, 150 Hz, 400 Hz, 1 kHz, 2.5 kHz, 6 kHz, 12 kHz and 16 kHz) up or down by up to 12 dB.

  4. Add the effects

Fine-tune Bass Boost, Loudness and Virtualizer, and move Balance between left and right.

  5. Save it

Tap Save Preset and give your setting a name. Reset takes everything back to flat.
